I am a Ph.D. Candidate in the Business and Public Policy (BPP) group, at Haas School of Business, UC Berkeley. I expect to receive a PhD degree by May 2020.
Curriculum Vitae (link) My research interest broadly lies in competitive strategy and business economics. I am particularly interested in the impact of changes in consumers' search behavior and information acquisition processes on firm performance, strategies, and market outcomes, with particular focus on digital economy and platform strategy.
Myjob market paper studies the impact of entry of new firms on incumbent firms in two-sided markets. I use proprietary data from Yelp Transaction Platform to examine how changes in the number of firms on the platform affect incumbent firms outcomes, which types of firms benefit or lose the most, and how incumbents respond to the changes in environment.
